Crystal’s Mill Town Mystery offers more small town adventures for 14-yr-old Crystal Blake!

More small town adventures weren’t in Crystal’s plans. However, she faces the mystery of opening an old safe to solve. A huge rodeo competition looms ahead. And she deals with mixed feelings over new friend, Shawn Sorensen. And then she must figure out the continuing conflict with Teresa Patterson. Will she be able to overcome her anger and jealousy? And why should she be threatened by men who claim to represent the Snake River Lumber Company?

As part of her small town adventures in Winchester, Idaho, Crystal and her friends discover a locked safe in a burned-out lumber mill. The contents draw others’ interest too. The Snake River Lumber Company offers Crystal a huge reward for an old safe no one can open. Crystal and Shawn especially determine to discover what’s inside. Now, if only they can figure out the combination and how to spin the dial. Meanwhile, all this tension makes it hard for Crystal to concentrate on the upcoming rodeo with Pendleton, her biggest rodeo yet. She’s got to somehow do her part for the rodeo team!

Excerpt from Crystal’s Mill Town Mystery:

Crystal crawled under the propped-up wall toward the safe. The space was much tighter than she imagined. There didn’t seem to be any place she could get a good angle to pry the safe door. Then, it dawned on her. The wall began sinking back down!

She hurried to get out and heard the wall shift, brushing against her back as she pulled her head and shoulders free. Then the weight of the wall pushed her legs into the mud.

She tried to shove with her arms, but she was stuck tight.

Crystal panicked.
